Morocco has been a golf destination since 1914, when the Royal Country Club of Tangier opened as the nation's first course. Today, nearly fifty courses dot the landscape, drawing world-class players. This book celebrates over a century of Moroccan golf and the fiftieth anniversary of the Hassan II Golf Trophy, established in 1971 by King Hassan II. The tournament showcases collaborations with legendary designers like Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jack Nicklaus. In 1993, the Lalla Meryem Cup launched for elite female professionals. King Mohammed VI and Prince Moulay Rachid continue expanding the sport and developing talent. Featuring fifteen journeys across Morocco by the author and original photography by Ann Dokter, this book captures the Kingdom's enduring passion for golf as it marks a historic milestone in May 2026.
