Q&A with the bride, Angelica!

Favorite wedding gift you received?

Definitely our fine china! I have been collecting Herend figurines and small pieces forever and I knew I wanted to register for their dishes for my wedding. I had my eyes set on the gold fish scale motif for years and when our time came, the decision was all but a foregone conclusion.  It is absolutely stunning and a true classic.  Also, it is versatile because you can layer additional pieces with it, as it serves as a perfect base for other color or patterned salad and dessert plates.

Most used item you thought you didn't need?

Vases. While you build you registry it might be easy to choose one or two but a true home requires a deep bench of vases of various sizes to handle holidays and unexpected floral gifts. We received a Baccarat rectangular eye vase (off registry!) and it is always on display with fresh flowers. Such an eye catcher filled with seasonal blooms and greenery.

Did your fiancé have any input when it came to what you selected?

Stephen has impeccable taste. He chose our Baccarat champagne flutes, wine, and water glasses. He also added some fancy Baccarat scotch glasses for “when the lady of the house is out.”

Favorite meal or holiday to entertain for?

We entertain a good amount and love to cook.  We try to invite other couples over often and have a homemade meal with great wine. We also have a Christmas party each season. This past November, we hosted Thanksgiving for the first time, since it was also my husband’s birthday and, Wow! It was a lot of work. But, happy to have enough plates, platters (Annie Glass and Julie Knight) and necessities to do it right.

Favorite recipe to cook for your now hubs?

Cook! Greek, Italian- both of our cultures. I also love to bake and satisfy my sweet tooth with cookies, brownies or cakes. And scones for breakfast.

Wedding related movie you watched on repeat during wedding planning?

I don’t really watch a lot of movies, especially wedding related ones since our choices now have to be good for both my husband and me. We do love Wedding Crashers and watch any and every time it is on TV because, Vince Vaughn.

What was your first dance song?

Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel

Band or DJ?

Band. Our guests danced all night and we had the band worked in with other elements of the wedding, like when we entered cocktails to a tunnel of brass instruments playing a song from Rocky.

What do you wish you registered for that you didn't?

I think we hit all the marks.  My childhood home is 5 minutes away from AnnSandra and with my mom shopping there with Sandi, Fred, and staff since the beginning, we covered the bases.
